Chilatherina alleni „Wapoga River“

Obwohl eigentlich vom Siriwo River beschreiben, kommt C. alleni auch im Wapoga River vor. Die beiden Formen unterscheidet sich in der Farbgebung. C. alleni wurde bislang nur im Oberlauf des Wapoga River in der Nähe der ehemaligen Siedlung Siewa gefunden und lebt dort in kleinen Zuflüssen. Die Tiere zeigen ein unglaubliches Farbspiel, darüber hinaus ist jedes Tier individuell anders gefärbt. Die Art ist leicht zu halten und friedlich. In Artenbecken kommen häufig Jungtiere durch.

C. alleni was described from the Siriwo River, but also occurs in the Wapoga River. Both Varieties differ in coloration. So far C. alleni has only been found in the Wapoga River in the upper tributaries near the former village Siewa. It lives in small creeks. The fishes show an incredible coloration and each individual has a own pattern. This species is peaceful and easy to keep. In species tanks, fry is often surviving.
