Melanotaenia spec. “Kali Semen”

Noch eine Art aus dem Keerom-Gebiet West Papuas, nahe der Grenze zu Papua-Neuguinea. Im Unterschied zu den nahe verwandten Arten/Formen „Kali Rum“ und „Kali Web“ wird dieser Fisch beim Balzen hell, fast weiß, was die schwarzen Zeichnungselemente besonders hervortreten lässt. In Normalfärbung ist der Rücken blau, die Flossen weiß mit dunklerem Rand. Wird vermutlich auch groß, bislang jedoch etwas kleiner als die beiden vorgenannten Arten.

Another species from the Keerom region of West Papua, close to the border to Papua-New Guinea. The difference to the closely related species/forms „Kali Rum“ and „Kali Web“ is that this fish turns nearly white when posing. This gives a very attractive contrast to the dark parts of the body. In normal color the body is blue, the fins white with dark margin. Most likely it becomes large, but not as large as the others.
