Craterocephalus sp. „Lake Mbuta“

Diese kleine Craterocephalus-Art ist endemisch im Mbuta-See in West Papua. Erwachsene Tiere sind nur ca. 4 cm lang. Sie leuchten metallisch gelb und sind sehr hübsche und auffällige Schwarmfische. Im Aquarium sind sie gut zu halten. Die Zucht ist nicht einfach, weil die Larven extrem klein sind.

This small hardyhead is endemic to Lake Mbuta in West Papua. Adults reach only 4 cm in length. The body colour is an iridescent metallic yellow. They are very pretty and eyecatching schooling fish. They are easy to keep in the aquarium. Breeding ist although not easy as the fry is extremely small.
